MINNEHAHA CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) will hold a public hearing at the meeting of the Board of Managers on Thursday, May 25 at 6:45 p.m. to receive public comment on the potential fee acquisition of 3910 and 3940 Farmhill Circle in Minnetrista in Hennepin County. Three Rivers Park District has a purchase agreement for the properties. The proposal would subdivide the properties to accommodate both Three River's regional trail corridor and the MCWD's implementation of a water quality treatment facility for Halsted Bay of Lake Minnetonka. The estimated purchase price for the full property is $750,000. MCWD would be responsible for a lesser amount based on the final subdivision between Three Rivers and MCWD. The District's portion would be funded through MCWD's ad valorem tax levy. Approximately 4.19% of the levy will be allocated to Carver County and 95.81% of the levy will be allocated to Hennepin County. This acquisition is part of the MCWD's Land Conservation and Restoration Program, which works with other local units of government, private business and residents to protect water quality and ecological resources within the MCWD. The meeting will be held at the MCWD Offices, 15320 Minnetonka Boulevard, Minnetonka, MN 55345. If you have any questions regarding this meeting, please call Anna Brown at 952-641-4522.
