The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is holding a public hearing to amend the 2016 approved concept plan for South Beach at Cedar Lake. The public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 6:30 pm at the Headquarters of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, located at 2117 West River Road, Minneapolis. A small restroom has been added to the site plan that was approved in 2016 after a public hearing was held. With funds from the Cedar Isles Dean Neighborhood Association (CIDNA), the CIDNA Park Dedication Fees, and an anonymous donor, construction will begin in September 2017. The beach will re-open after construction completion in June 2018.
