Notice of Availability for Public Comment Environmental Assessment: Management of Wolf Conflicts and Depredating Wolves in Minnesota The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Wildlife Services (WS) program, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service, has released an Environmental Assessment (EA), "Management of Wolf Conflicts and Depredating Wolves in Minnesota "for public review. The EA analyzes the potential environmental impacts of alternatives for WS' involvement in wolf damage management (WDM) in the State. The proposed action is to continue the current Minnesota WS WDM program that uses an integrated approach including non-lethal and lethal methods to reduce adverse impacts of wolves on livestock and other domestic animals, and reduce risks to human safety from bold or habituated wolves.
